FC Barcelona were well beaten By Milan in San Siro, 2-0 in CL, Round of 16, First leg. Tactically Milan were astute. Milan Didnt let FC Barcelona to Play their style. Messi was Marked and didn't receive many passes from the midfield and had to drop deep most of the times. Milan followed  Zonal marking, they were all over in the midfield and efficiently shut down Barca's midfield.  It was the game where Barcelona had least number of shots. We didn't score an important away goal. With 2 goals down,  it was a Herculean task to turn the score and head towards QF.

IF THERE IS ANY TEAM IN THE WORLD , WHO CAN COME BACK FROM 2-0 DOWN IN THE FIRST LEG(AWAY) TO WIN THE TIE , IT MUST BE FUTBOL CLUB BARCELONA. YES WE ACHIEVED IT!

MATCH DAY

Finally the day had come to play the second leg. Milan were happy to defend the 2-0 score. The game started and the pitch at the Campnou suited perfectly for Barcelona's style of play. Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets and all others got into the rhythm very soon. Within six minutes, little one touch passing and BANGGG, Messi scored a Magnificient Goal, Which I believe only few players can score. And Barcelona were 1-0 up. What a golazoooo that was!

 Barcelona were playing brilliantly in this game. Taking back the ball from the opposition and turning it into instant attack is the main reason why Barcelona are Successful in recent years. IF Barcelona lose the Ball , they take back it as soon as possible.

 As said By Grame souness and Gary Neville. "Once they  pass your Midfield.You got Big problems as defender.You Back off back off. They have some great players who can trick you." So eventually this attack here leads to  Messi's second goal. Messi fools Mexes and  Abiati and sends the ball into the net.

 Important For Barcelona : It's very important for Barcelona that even the Front 3 Track back to defend and try to help the team in recovering the ball. Messi after 2010-11 season  rarely tracked back .But in this game he ran many yards to recover the ball. The commentator says " Messi is near his own penalty box. WOW Such a RARE thing "


 Messi came back to  his own Box to recover the ball.If he was not present at that time, Mialn would have got the possession and this would lead into attack or worst case goal . (During 2010-11, Messi would track back and help the team quite often.).

Similarly the third goal came eventually by following  " Recover the ball ASAP". The Milan defender clears the ball. The milan player stands still and waits for the Ball to reach his feet. Meanwhile Mascherano does a brilliant Job of reading the game and  recovers the ball by running yards  and feeds it to iniesta for another instant attack. One advantage of doing so is, Barca keep pressure on Milan higher up the pitch.

The havoc created by instant attack led that Milan defender to slide. When he was still on his butt, Villa scored a  Beauty. Sliding challenges are brilliant when they are executed correctly otherwise it gives a striker more space, more time. This is what happened in third goal vs milan. 
Although there was high pressure during 80th-90 th minute  in this game, Barcelona sustained the pressure and thanks to Jordi Alba for the fourth goal .This was the Best game played By Barcelona in 2012-13 season in CL .Clean sheet in High pressure game that too when our Defense was fragile was brilliant.
