In the Previous League game against Rayo Vallecano. Barcelona comfortably won 4-0. But the media and even many fans Portrayed it as a failure. You may ask  The team has won 4-0 and yet the media and the fans are criticizing .Seriously? . Yes . Because  Barcelona had less possession in over 5 years.

 Last Season there were many problems in the club

1) over dependency on Messi . 
Is it a Problem? Obviously many teams depend on their Best players to step up and become the difference between the two teams. However in the case of Barca , the Messi dependency was so intense that at some stage   Barcelona looked haphazard. (During PSG Game) 

2) Poor rotation Policy
  Poor rotation Policy is the main reason why we went out of UCL two consecutive times in the Semifinals IMO. Yes Tito vilanova should have done better with rotating Players. Xavi ,Aged 33 Played week in week out. How can you expect him to be at the same level playing every week without giving him of all the needed Rest. Also this is one of the reason why Thiago left Barcelona . Because as far as i remember Tito vilanova chose to chase hundred points after we won the league . But he did not give  a MUCH NEEDED CHANCE for players like Thiago.

3) Tactics

  As you know Jordi alba entered the team as LB . So Tito Vilanova tweaked some of the tactics used by Pep guardiola. i.e now Both LB and RB were in the attack. As you saw last season the teams eventually figured out as how to beat us.  The opposition teams exploited the space left by the Full backs especially Jordi Alba.
They are using this tactics even this season . see here

We were out of two competitions by the end of 12-13 season  but Barca showed a great strength in retaining the La liga in style.
Can you imagine an assistant coach winning the league with record points. I dont think so. May be Vilanova could have made wonders had he been here this season but nature was cruel on him. He had cancer Relapse had thus he bid adieu to Futbol club Barcelona.

Oh btw i forgot to discuss another point. 

Bayern Munich 4 -Barcelona 0
possession : 45-55

Barcelona 0 - Bayern Munich 3 
possession 53 - 47

We had possession but yet we were humiliated because of lack of alternatives.
So tata martino was Brought in to introduce some new things to our style of play 

  •  The team plays more vertical now. 
  •  Long passes are used more often. 
  • Rotation of Players. 
As you can see the team is coping with the  alternative style of play .Also our originality is maintained ,Barca Just showed us that Yesterday by winning comfortably and playing some beautiful football ! literally out of this world.Barcelona had 70 percent possession.



So i reiterate pique words here. Lets Just enjoy the football of the best team in the world who entertain people with their style instead of moaning about having less possession in JUST one game. It's better to have alternatives when we meet teams like Bayern munich and it's ok to not have more possession in one or two games. The team is preparing for something big. So just sit back and enjoy
