All the sliding tackles were perfectly timed by Mascherano.He was superb today. In the last few games i saw how many sliding tackles were failed. Mascherano does this thing on regular basis.
Xavi played again?? What happened to Tata's rotation policy?. Though Real sociedad played well. Let's be practical we all knew we would go through, and Tata could have easily rested xavi.
Fabregas also played really well. Dani alves and Messi had their moments in the game which reminded me of Pep years. Though i feel Dani alves needs to improve on his crosses.They were poor.
Overall i feel we should be still more decisive infront of goal. We missed too many chances yesterday. Against Manchester city this may well be the difference.
We will play against Real Madrid in a Copa Del rey finals. This will be awesome for all neutrals,both set of fans. It's strange that even after bashing our team week in ,week out for having less possession, missing chances , losing and getting just a point against some mid table teams, we are still favourites for all of the three competitions(Atleast 2).
For Real sociedad many players played brilliantly. Vela.prieto,Griezmann and last but not the least. ZURUTUZA Was very good.
