Though we were 2-0 up in the away leg. Our fans didn't enjoy the lead as the other fans would have. But we played brilliantly against Manchester City in the second leg. After all football is a team game and we were collectively, lot better than them.

Prior to the match, I saw this on the twitter, "Barcelona's defense, Manchester united's midfield and Chelsea's attack would make the worst team ever." This being quite true(looking from the outside) since we always have one or other midfielder always playing in defense, but our defense was superb today. Jordi Alba's pace and  decision making came in handy so many times. He was the best INTERCEPTOR in the match. I am sure you'll remember how Martin Tyler mentioned "Jordi Alba  again in the right moment at the right time( BRILLIANT PACE and TIMING)." Time and again.

We initially take some time to control the match, but today was different. We didn't let them have a moment with the ball. We dominated completely for the first 20 minutes. Referee failed to give us a PENALTY, and an ONSIDE GOAL was ruled out. These stupid English press was behind Dzeko's incident, but no one talked about 'How we were denied a Legitimate goal' and 'How Messi's incident was overlooked'.

We had hell lot of goal scoring opportunities in the first half. Lot of people were exaggerating the fact that "Messi doesn't track back, Messi is waiting for the bus, all south American players burn out at the very young age BLA BLA BLA". Well, all of you were proved wrong today. Even Messi at 3/4 of his potential is the best player in the world. I had argued about why Messi doesn't run so much?. Here are some of my opinions.

Messi has a unique quality. At a very young age, Messi wanted to play every single match and wanted to have ball at his feet all the time. He has this " I should be the Best Player in every single match". As we all know Messi wants to play each and every match. Even if the match is against CORDOBA, I am sure Messi will be in the line up, but his body cannot cope with it. So, he learnt to pick his moments. More down here!

That Messi vs Aguero moment showed the world that he can track back too. I don't know why, but Barcelona tends to play very well only when Messi plays well(when Messi is in the team). Looks like many players look up to him for the MOTIVATION, HUNGER  etc (need to sort it out). Though we had controlled the whole first half, Samir Nasri could have scored a goal before half time. It was 0-0 at HT.

In the beginning of second half, Dzeko came in for Aguero who had a poor game. Manchester city created a chance very early in the second half, but Valdes denied them with the tip of his hand, to stop Dzeko's header. What a save that was! Well done Valdes. After all those misses, Messi finally scored one for us with a CHIP. It was brilliant to see how a 4 times Ballon D'or makes football look so simple for us. I was very happy with Messi's performance today. It was a long time since he played that well. Messi owned Kompany and Lescott numerous times. After 3-0, tie was over. Manchester City made several changes and  Dzeko should have got a penalty very late in the game, but he didn't. The Referee was incompetent for BOTH THE SIDES. Even with proper Referee, the game would have ended 4-2.  Many English fans failed to see this thing after the match. English press was biased as usual. Manchester City should thank Sergi Roberto who was responsible for city's goal which otherwise would have been perfect OFFSIDE TRAP. Please concentrate in the training sessions, Roberto.

Well we are not QPR to concede two goals like that, instead we scored another goal, thanks to Andres Iniesta and Daniel Alves. This post will be incomplete without mentioning Andres Iniesta.

Andres Iniesta's pregnant wife lost their baby due to some "Medical Complications" a week ago. They say that,  To lose a kid is like losing a part of themselves.
Iniesta showed lot of professionalism and performed his duty to the peak of his powers despite his personal loss. Barcelona don't lose games when Iniesta is at his peak. He played fantastically well, and helped Messi in many ways. For me, Iniesta has surpassed Zidane. I was shocked to see that many Rival fans believe he has surpassed Zidane. Well, that's my opinion and I'm certainly entitled to have one. I feel quite privileged to witness this group of Barcelona players. It would be awesome to recall this match after some years just like I recall so many other classics.
