There was a  fierce combat  between the two sides for  90 minutes ON the Pitch NOT OFF the pitch.

Barcelona got what TATA Martino Ordered. Our Main aim was not to lose here, at Vicente Calderon . We executed the plan very well. Our defensive record this season is very good. Mascherano has become the master of tackling. Pique is doing exceedingly well , particularly in the big games .

 Players who deserve credit for the yesterday's game

 1)Mascherano : He did pretty well in coping up with Diego costa and Arda Turan. He is good at one thing that English football fans are familiar with i.e tackling. Mascherano timing is absolutely amazing. He executes that very well. If he misses the tackle he will get Yellow or worst case a red card. Atletico Madrid are famous for their tackling stuff just like how Barca is renowned for tiki-taka. So we are proud that we have Mascherano who brings something else from the usual tiki taka stuff. We need players like him in such games which are more physical(tackling, too many fouls ).

2) Pique : Pique has been immense. He rescued us many times in this game. Atletico Madrid were totally on us throughout the match. There was this particular incident from the match which Iwould like to mention.

 Mascherano did a sliding tackle to win a ball from Diego costa, but he missed it. This left a void behind as Mascherano was still lying on the ground. Arda turan sent a perfectly weighted pass to Diego Costa. All thought Costa would finish it, but there was Pique, who saved us by obstructing the shot. Awesome

 3) Pedro- Pedro covered whole pitch. He was with Valdes in 6th min and in 7th min he was near Courtois. He tracked back very well(He and Sanchez were example for the strikers who track back) . It was awesome to see Pedro and Sanchez performing like that.

 4) Iniesta is the best midfielder alive now. He was awesome in the first half, but our bad luck he got injured due to those WWE Players from the Madrid. 

 5) Valdes was great as usual, Messi needs a time to track back(too much to expect) . Messi had a two clear chances that Barca as a team had in second half. Neymar didn't do anything in special at all except for the 90th min where he used his pace to beat Atletico player to give a cross which was wasted. 
I was happy not to concede and showing some defensive skills of our team. I had forgotten how we defend after 10-11 season. It's time for us to admire defenders too. Especially Pique, Mascherano , Alba and Alves deserve it. 
Thought for the day(La Liga in general): To Wayne Rooney and all EPL fans how do you rate Atletico Madrid??? They can probably show you lots how to play ENGLISH type FOOTBALL.
